abel is stealing a cat nap next to me on the couch, curled up on the world's best comforter. it is good to be home, in the states that is, to surround ourselves by good people and lots of comforts. some of you seemed pretty surprised that we returned at all. but we are happy and full of some great world perspective. we love telling our stories about our trip, and we developed the few photos that we came away with. it is startling to see the pictures now, with the setting and our friends, so out of context. we live in a different world here, but a good one, and we are grateful for both.
we have been enjoying reunions, which have been nothing short of spectacular: spent two days on the sailboat with don and julie in tomales, ate a pound of cheese fondue with pascal and friends, danced with all our friends at hot buttered rum show, had a sleep over on allies floor, lunch in rossmoore with the grandparents... i was reunited with the carburator roll at sushi tozai, after nights of dreaming about it while i was away. but in all my dreaming, i never imagined it lit up by a box of candles!!! abel had planned a great bday surprise, with red balloons a day at the beach and sushi. pascal made sure we all drank plenty of sake too.
now the reunions contine at my other home in boise. we arrived at my moms house yesterday, early evening. we found some beautiful camping, breakfasting and lunching spots in CA and Nevada along the way. we also pulled off the road to swim a couple of times. i wished on a few shooting stars and we enjoyed the moon rises and all the fresh veggies and fruits thanks to our pv family.
last night we made pizza with the fam and played with the nieces and nephews. they are so cute, i was lucky enough to change a diaper too! today i was happy to reassemble the wheels of my bike and enjoy a bike ride with abel. we visited my brother
and his baby and we spent some time outside with them. andy, my brothers little girl loves raw onions! and fresh tomatoes. i guess she also loves sushi. tomorrow night abel and i will have sushi with my dad and visit my grandpa too. whew, even though we are unemployed we sure are keeping ourselves busy!
abel is awake now. everyone is coming home from their days work. i guess you are all probably settling into home too.
enjoy,
trisha
