It´s hot here in Leon Nicaragua , where we have been the last few days, doing nothing but recovering from our trip from El Salvador (but more-so, the funk.) We are finnally feeling ourselves again, and deturmined to enjoy it.
El Salvador was a really great place, but I felt a little rushed for some reason, like we had to spend more time in Nicaragua. I think it was good though, to get the quick tour so we know what we want to spend time on when we come back. As we kept hearing, but didn´t realy realize to its full extent until we where there, is that the people are the best part of El Salvador. The people were the nicest in all our travels without a doubt. Trish and I have done a bit of philosiphizing about ¨why¨ but we havent come to any conclusions. We where also really diging the Papusas, but now the thought of them makes me a little nausious (that was the last meal we had before we got sick.)
I was hoping for to go surfing at La Libertad, or one of the other nearby beaches, but I didn´t actually get in the water. Trish and I did a good bit of exploring before we decided to spend the rest of our time in Nicaragua.
Our friend Kati just sent us an amazing email about all the places we should/need to go, and people to meet, so I am looking forward to these new travel adventures, where we have a bit of an inside scoop. Speaking of scoop, an icecream sounds really good right now, or maybe a sandia licuado.
