We have been relaxing a bit (climbing mountains and swimming) at Lago Atitlan, then we spent a few nights in Antigua, where we happen to see three of the members from Buena Vista social club play in a small resraunt! Yesterday was a bit tough, starting after a rough bus ride to Guatemala city and Trisha´s wallet getting stolen. Then after another long bus ride, not sure about the size of our destination city and not having much cash money ($7 or so.) We found out, after being dropped off, that is was chiquito. Luckly we found a bus right away to Chiquimula. (fun to say huh?) Meanwhile Trisha was feeling the funk and we bearly made it to the hotel without keeling over. The hotel is really nice witha pool for only $8 for the both of us. Chiquimula is a small comercial town that is very busy!
Today we will be seeing dino bones near Rio Hondo in Guatemala, then Honduras Manana!....although I think I am feeling a bit of the funk right now.. I hope it is just the heat.
